P Visa Entertainer, Artist or Athlete

An artist, entertainer, or athlete can secure authorization to come to the United State temporarily to perform services for an employer or a sponsor as an artist, athlete or entertainer in the following circumstances:

  • As a P-1 visa holder to perform services as an internationally recognized athlete, individually or as part of a group or team, or member of an internationally recognized entertainment group.
  • As a P-2 visa holder to perform as an artist or entertainer under a reciprocal exchange program; or
  • As a P-3 visa holder to perform, teach, or coach under a program that is culturally unique.
